Democracy Day 2018

PRESS RELEASE #DemocracyDay 2018 AKURE, May 29 2018 -- Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party (ANRP) Ondo State Chapter wishes the people of Ondo State and all Nigerians a happy democracy day. Today marks the 19th consecutive year of uninterrupted democratic dispensation in Nigeria. Prior to the advent of this democratic journey that began in 1999, it is instructive to note that Nigeria had only 10 years of democratic rule in 39 years of coexistence since independence and as such make today's celebration a great milestone. We indeed have a freer Press and Courtrooms than what was obtainable under military rule but there are still scenarios that have haunted our democracy. These scenarios include the defiance of court rulings and injunctions, violent clampdown on peaceful protests, many Nigerians languishing in highly congested prisons still awaiting trials and so on. These have featured constantly in every administration from 1999 till date. On the other hand, can we call toda

Tope Fasua: DON'T I DESERVE A BREATHER?

Image
DON’T I DESERVE A BREATHER? There is an unbelievable level of naivety among young Nigerians. And the smart goons amongst ‘us’ have begun to ride on that naivety and shallow thinking just like the bad old guys keep doing. Nigerians are vulnerable to superstardom; we get carried away easily by fame and fortune.  And just like our forebears, we always need something to worship. And this pathology plays into the Machiavellian bent of our successive leaders. For with that kind of mindset, it is easy to subjugate an entire peoples and continue to position yourself as god-sent, or God’s own representative on earth. Anyone who tries to let us out of that mindset is likely to face backlash and be heartbroken. But for a leader, the earlier you learn, the better.  This will allow you build resilience to do the right thing, in spite of your followers. A great definition of a leader is that he/she is someone who takes his followers to a better place, even if they are kicking and screami

WHO IS A TRUE LEADER?

WHO IS A TRUE LEADER... ? ANSWER FROM ABAYOMI MIGHTY. A TRUE LEADER is in wealth but refuse to forget about the poor on the streets and therefore lead according to their needs and not his greed! A TRUE LEADER is not necessarily loved by a lot of people but he's always doing everything to favour the same people that might not like him (Since all social media platforms now dictates who is good and bad) A TRUE LEADER has a PATH he's following... And he's adamant on following it regardless of who's is following or not... That's the summary of who a True Leader should be... Now note this... He is Dangerous to evil people but a dove to good people... Fire to burn corrupt people but Cold water to people who chose hardwork and integrity... Thunder strike to hypocrites but a Light in the path to the humble... Destruction to destructive people but a builder of many foundations of many generations to come... Oppressor to Oppressors but a comforter t

IKUBESE: WHY I'M QUITING THE NATIONAL CONSCIENCE PARTY (NCP)

WHY I'M QUITING THE NATIONAL  CONSCIENCE PARTY (NCP) BEING THE TEXT OF THE PRESS CONFERENCE ADDRESSED BY DR THOMAS-WILSON IKUBESE AT THE NUJ PRESS CENTRE AKURE ON 14TH MAY 2018 Protocols. I declared to run for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 24th July 2017, because the recommendations in my book tittled MY PRESCRIPTIONS FOR NIGERIA written in 2011 which I sent to our political leadership wasn't implemented. These recommendations/prescriptions if implemented will bring about the much desired positive change in our dear nation, and position her where she ought to be; amongst the best nations of the world. Premised on these, I decided to run for the office of the President using my book to benchmark governance. My followers who are scattered around the 36 states of the Federation decided thereupon that we join the National Conscience Party (NCP) and pursue the actualization of the birth of the new Nigeria of our dream therein

Don't wait for something to happen!

Image
"If you wait for something to happen, you will lose everything and if you do something, you will get everything in life. A creative man/woman is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others" ANRP is not here to wrestle power from these old brigades.... ANRP is here to achieve the NIGERIA of our dream. Your first duty in this is to believe in the Nigerian dream, second is to posses an incorruptible mind, next is to help change the way of reasoning of another citizen, then tell them about ANRP & together we can achieve the Nigeria of our dreams where elected officials serve & not rule & are accountable to the citizens. ANRP... THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE..... THIS IS OUR OWN... ©KingJhorghe #iyituwatv #iamadeolutayo #iamsam

You are not too young to rule

Those who believe the #TheNotTooYoungToRule ideology should not be deterred. 4 years ago we all thought it impossible for an opposition to unseat an incumbent president. Alas! That was our 2015 reality. With improved electoral sensitization of Nigerian youths enumerating our numerical strength, need to take #AwaNation back and undo years of misdeeds of the older generation (that same generation that has been ruling us shortly after independence), this seemingly impossible dream will become our reality in 2019. Since Biblical days every generation of young people who have had the passion to rebuild their nation have always had to overcome people of their own generation who mock their effort and seek to resist the rebuilding process. Every Nehemiah (the rebuilder) must have his Sanballat and Tobiah (the resisters). The 'Nehemiahs' of our time should strengthen their hands because like the Biblical Sanballat and Tobiah ours too are enlightened, may be influential and opinio

WE AIN'T GOING YOUNGER

Image
WE AIN'T GOING YOUNGER Ain't growing younger!!! Yet things are getting confusing. Life seems beyond yonder But things appear so unamusing. Man thinks and blinks But his abode stinks and sink Friends are gone Foes are laughing Man's heart is torn While his mocking detractors are coughing. The downtrodden masses begin to wonder If government on their policy ponder. When shall we reach the promised land? When we still crawl on the sinking sand. We ain't growing younger We deserve a life worthwhile in the yonder. OGUNGBEMI Adeyemi Orimisan Yemi Mighty. 08065004375 #iyituwatv #iamadeolutayo #iamsam

Adeshina Tosin Nathatniel(Dontee) wrote: To Mr Tope Fasua and all members of ANRP congratulations on your convention. You've shown to us Nigerians can still do something different in a more organized environment. Your convention could not have come with some attendant mistakes but your audacity to start a party that is solely financed by its members is commendable. Moving forward, ANRP should dare to be different. That's all... All the people telling you to focus on 2023 are thieves. We can't continue with this mess in 2019. ANRP must present itself as a working formula for the Nigerian Youths. We will surely support you guys if you do things differently.  Congratulations #iyituwatv #iamadeolutayo #iamsam

OMOBA FEYISADE ADEYEMI CHARLES: ONDO ANRP IS PROUD OF YOUR LEADERSHIP

OMOBA FEYISADE ADEYEMI CHARLES: ONDO ANRP IS PROUD OF YOUR LEADERSHIP "Leadership competency isn't a function of age barrier, ethnic jingoism, religious chauvinism, self aggrandized Solomonic wisdom or elitistic disposition but the inherent ability and capacity of a leader to carry all along with abject levelheadedness and unparalleled sportsmanship." ~Ogungbemi Adeyemi Ø. It's on this note without any glint of flattery or exaggeration that I make bold to say that OUR OWN Professor Emeritus in the waiting has crossed the benchmark of the success graph over this past material time. My vote of confidence might appear personal but I'm dead sure it carries the assessment of the majority(There is always room for a rejoinder or disclaimer😍😃😃😄😛😛😛). The conduct of the just concluded national convention of our great, masses loving and rapidly spreading political party-ANRP had given credence to my assessment of the acting Executives under the virile leadersh

BE SILENT AND BE SILENCED

BE SILENT AND BE SILENCED When you are silent, you will be silenced says  Mrs. Funke Felix-Adejumo, the uncompromisingly dogged Advocator of Woman Emancipation and audacious Marriage Counselor of global repute. Though I'm not going nuptial here but words of wisdom I want us to know are ubiquitous. The rising call for youth involvement in policy making and advertently in politics is a welcome development at this umpteen time. But the albatross hanging on the neck of this astronomical increase in youth reorientation and reawakening is the fact that many youths so promising and leadership borne are still sceptical about the surging drive to grab power through every veritable and legitimate means forgetting the indisputably sacred fact that when power tarries for too long in the hands of the mediocre, monumental human disastrous tornado is inevitable in all spheres of our national endeavor. Could the reasons be carted with the horse of the elite cantankerous contentment or t

ANRP: The Voice of The Truth

Image
ANRP: The Voice of The Truth                   By OGUNGBEMI Adeyemi O.               "Truth alone will endure, all the rest will be swept away before the tide of time. I must continue to bear testimony to truth even if I am forsaken by all. Mine may today be a voice in the wilderness, but it will be heard when all other voices are silenced, if it is the voice of Truth. God forbid that India should ever take to industrialism after the manner of the West. ... If an entire nation of 300 million took to similar economic exploitation, it would strip the world bare like locusts." ~Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi {Pka Mahatma Gandhi} The truth and just the truth has been a scarce human phenomenon. While the TRUTH is cheap to speak by some sincere FEW, it's much costlier with the multitude. The African proverb knew the TRUTH to be tenacious. That's why it wisdomly assert that "Bi iro ba lo logun odun, ojo kan lotito a ba(Let LIES keeps reigning, the TRUTH wou

ANRP: The Striking Alternative

Image
ANRP: The Striking Alternative Considering the fact that all the newly formed political parties across divides are products of the old relics of the existing parties, they ain't better a striking alternative. Looking at ANRP, 'ts not the party of some money bags or sycophantic godfatherism  but a conscious conglomerate of the pragmatic progressives. Our manifestoes ain't theoretical but avalanches of doable ideas. Some folks have it that we are daydreaming like other parties formed in the past but believe me you, our seemingly unrealizable dream has been transcended to the conspicuous realities. Today, ANRP remain the viable, virile and veritable party for the teeming masses of the neglected and dejected country men across board. Sloganeering our party to the ears of the discernible, THIS IS OUR OWN, nobody owns us and we own nobody. It's a party that the Talakawas, Almajiri, Mekunus, Omo Nna and the likes have their say on deciding which way to go to

Youth in politics: YOU'RE THE YOUTH, YOU'RE THE LEADER

PRESS RELEASE YOU'RE THE YOUTH; YOU'RE THE LEADER AKURE, 8th May 2018-Youth In Politics Ondo State Chapter reminisces on the passionately driven idea of the conveners of YOUTH IN POLITICS across our national divides on the need for our teeming youths to come forward and participate actively in politics. The patriotic idea that we should not just look out for jobs catering to only self and a tiny family, rather we should look out for the enlarged family, the society and the country at large is a very idealogical aspiration. Before independence most of the educated class showed definite aspirations towards country’s interests and many of them did join active politics and what we have today is the direct product of all that political activity, good or bad and whether we like it or not. The State Ambassador of Ondo State Youth In Politics, Ambassador Paul Chibueze, in his usual charge sees the Nigerian youth as the necessary tools in nation building. "Show me a yo

Quit Surviving and Start Striving

Akinwalere Matthew Temitayo Basorun Omoluwabi movement of Africa  *Quit Surviving and Start Striving* 2019 is a challenge to all Nigerians especially the youth, we have been clamouring for the change but have we checked inward to see what really needs to be changed? Are we ready for this change? Are we just ranting or have we decided to act? If we are positive in any of these questions then we should be able to say categorically that we have our *PVC*. We must learn that it is not just about survival where we will just be talking  about hardship but we should be striving to achieve greatness and to do this we muSt be able to identify greatness in others. Let me quickly help us with some basic ingredients needed to be great or identify greatness. 1. *Competence*: Just as we work or clock jobs to survive more so do we need this ingredient as a country to grow. Without a competent person, a country can not grow because this ingredient helps you to identify the difference be

There is Nothing like CHURCH WEDDING

From the office of the Lagos State Administrator General & Public Trustees Office.  1. Dear married couples, there is no such legal personality known as "Mr and Mrs Okoro". You can only have "Mr Kenneth Okoro" or "Mrs Patricia Okoro".  You might just be creating a legal problem for yourselves when you use "Mr and Mrs Okoro" to buy those goods or properties. 2. Dear married couples (especially those who are married under the Act), all things been equal, it is adviced that you change your next of kin to your spouse after wedding from your sibling or anybody else you used before wedding. Making your spouse your next of kin makes it easier for them to process any accrued benefit especially if either of you die intestate ( without leaving a will). 3. Dear intending couples, there are only two types of marriages recognised in Nigeria;  1.Marriage under the Act (Matrimonial Causes Act and Marriage Act), 2. Marriage not under the Act (Ma

HOW TO GET HIGH YIELD IN AN ORGANIC FARM

Image
*HOW TO GET HIGH YIELD IN AN ORGANIC FARM.* By nature, plants have the potential to produce reasonably without the use of a fertilizer. What causes low yield or prompt the need of fertilizer is the inability of the farmer to understand basic factors that influence crop yield and plant growth. All conditions favour crop yield differently and distinctly. As an organic farmer, you should understand how the local conditions canincrease your yield without the need for any agro-chemical. To practice a successful organic farming, an organic farmer must monitor these key factors; *.Increase long term soil fertility. *.Control pests and diseases without harming the environment. *.Use resources within the farm to improve soil and increase yield, thus, reducing cost of production. All these can be achieved under organic farming.  *What is organic farming* ? Organic farming is a system of farming where techniques used to achieve good yield are notharmful to the environment; in

Ondo ANRP reacts to NLC clamour for N66,500 minimum wage for all workers

PRESS RELEASE Ondo ANRP reacts to NLC clamour for N66,500 minimum wage for all workers. AKURE, 3 May 2018- Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party (ANRP), Ondo State Chapter  affirms her support for the clamour for a new nationwide minimum wage of N66,500 by the organised labour. We equally affirm that an N18,000- minimum wage since 2011 is long overdue for an upward review. Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party (ANRP) believes that one of the core roots of corruption and disenchantment in the Nigeria Civil Service is the disparity in income which has bred inefficiency and a culture of 'wait for your turn'. This means that workers live on paltry sums until they attain privileged positions- by transfer or promotion- and then proceed to take their pound of flesh from the nation, with vengeance. The argument against an upward review of minimum wage range from inflation, low oil prices and inability of many state governments to pay. However, we must also consider that virtually every

2019: Ikubese consults Obasanjo, vows to unseat Buhari, fix Nigeria

Image
Presidential aspirant, Dr. Thomas-Wilson Ikubese and former Nigerian President, Dr. Olusegun Obasanjo Ahead of the 2019 general elections, Dr. Thomas-Wilson Ikubese, a presidential aspirant of the National Conscience Party (NCP), who had vowed to unseat Buhari in the next election and fix Nigeria has continued his nationwide consultation at the weekend with a visit to the former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Ikubese thanked Obasanjo for speaking the mind of common Nigerians on the street in the letter he recently wrote to President Muhammadu Buhari, urging him not to seek re-election in 2019 because of his unimpressive performance in office. According to the Ondo State-based medical practitioner, some of the points raised by former President Obasanjo in his letter are some of the reasons why he declared to run for the office of the President of the Federal republic of Nigeria on 24th July 2017, making him the first yo

We must discourage recycling of leaders, says Ikubese

Image
The Presidential aspirant for the National Conscience Party, (NCP) Dr. Thomas-Wilson Ikubese has on Thursday said that his administration will stop the recycling of leaders if elected president in the forthcoming 2019 general election. “We must discourage recycling of leaders because everyone has the ability to lead, but how can the younger ones lead when the old are being recycled?” Ikubese asked. Not as he equally said that corrupt public officials, who are found guilty of embezzling public funds will face Life imprisonment. Speaking at Amai Kingdom during his visit to the Igwete of Amai Kingdom, Ikubese assured that his administration will be based on transparency and accountability, noting that as a medical practitioner, he is coming as a political revolutionist seeking to implement the recommendations in his book for the betterment of Nigerians. Reeling out some of his manifestoes, Ikubese said, “”Your Royal Majesty, some persons somewhere have been benefiting from us bei
