PRESS RELEASE

CHILDREN'S DAY: ANRP Ondo Makes A Call for A Better Life For Ondo State Children

AKURE, May 27 2018- Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party Ondo State joins the international communities to celebrate our children on this year children's day.

Children’s Day is an event celebrated in many countries  around the world. The holiday is simply set to honour children and minors.

The International Children’s Day had its origin in Turkey in April 23, 1920 and later in the World Conference for the Well-being of Children in Geneva, Switzerland in 1925.

Children’s Day was first celebrated worldwide in October 1955, under the sponsorship of International Union for Child Welfare in Geneva. The idea of a Universal Children’s Day was mooted by Rubab Mansoor grade 8 and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954. First proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954.

It was established to encourage all countries to institute a day, firstly to promote mutual exchange and understanding among children and secondly to initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world’s children. It was also chosen as the day to celebrate childhood.

The state chairman of our great party, Mr. Dele Ogunrinde Jnr. in his goodwill message to the promising and future leaders of tomorrow admonished them to remain hardworking, respectful, honest and sincere and to remain hopeful of a bright and better future entrusting them into the abiding love and care of the Lord.

"Today is a day we must all rededicate ourselves to ensuring that we leave a better world for our children than the one bequeathed to us. The challenges are onerous. We live in a rapidly changing world technologically, politically and socially. We must ensure that the Nigerian child is as equipped as any child anywhere in the world to cope and thrive in our rapidly changing world. To the children, we send our message of love and ask them to remain hardworking, respectful, honest and sincere and to remain hopeful of a bright and better future as we  entrust them into the abiding love and care of the Lord. May the lord in his infinite mercy continue to watch over them", he charged.

However, he implored the parents to fasten their belts in giving our children a well deserved life, our religious leaders should keep growing them morally and spiritually and the government to retrace her step by helping them to have a better life.
