*Quit Surviving and Start Striving*

2019 is a challenge to all Nigerians especially the youth, we have been clamouring for the change but have we checked inward to see what really needs to be changed?
Are we ready for this change? Are we just ranting or have we decided to act? If we are positive in any of these questions then we should be able to say categorically that we have our *PVC*. We must learn that it is not just about survival where we will just be talking  about hardship but we should be striving to achieve greatness and to do this we muSt be able to identify greatness in others. Let me quickly help us with some basic ingredients needed to be great or identify greatness. 1. *Competence*: Just as we work or clock jobs to survive more so do we need this ingredient as a country to grow. Without a competent person, a country can not grow because this ingredient helps you to identify the difference between an ordinary person and a man with foresight. Many of us lack this ingredient.
2. *Character*: this is another very important ingredient in achieving greatness, recognising or recommending someone who is great. It is only a person with a good character that will consider keeping such even in position. Character helps one to forget about survival but rather strive for greatness.
3. *Compassion*: Every Nigerian has a survival story but most Nigerians forget this stories when they achieve greatness because they do not have compassion. They are not bothered about the plights of people around them and the 'I' is all that Matters to them. Being compassionate is a virtue that all Nigerians should learn as this will be the only reason why no matter what has caused disagreement between my brother and I, I will never think of killing my brother, rather we will quarrel and settle it later.

So fellow Nigerian Youth, our time to decide the future of our country is now, we can either sit back and watch, rant on social media, discuss in vehicles, shout on oneanother or wake up, get our *PVC* and do what is expected of us.

Therefore let's forget about Survival and start Striving.
