RESPONSE TO LIFE CHALLENGES          Trials might be coming and all hope gone, but in all things, I will stand firm, challenges is all around, but the way you react to each problems determines how strong you are. During my quest for solutions to my personal problems, I was asked to read this story. It goes thus;                            A lady went to our mother, sharing her problems with her, she was fed up and wanted to quit. Her mother took her to the kitchen, sat her down, her mom took three pots, filled each pot with water and placed them on fire. In the first, she placed Carrots, the second she placed an Egg, and the last, she placed  ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil for twenty minutes (20m) After twenty minutes, she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and poured into a bowl. Removing the eggs, she placed in a bowl.                                        She was asked t

WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT? (Akindayomi Samuel)

WHAT DO YOU STILL WANT FROM ME? What do you still want from Me that has not been given?     I abandoned my throne in heaven for 33 and half years for your redemption, I was imprisoned for 9 months in the womb of a woman, my creature for your sake. I was born in the shelter of animals for your well being. I was chased around to be killed by my creature because of you.  I suffered hunger, thirst, fasted,  tempted that you will be exalted. I was betrayed and sold for 30 pieces of silver that you will be bought A condemned criminal Barnabas was preferred by you to me. I was handed over to be judged, I was tortured, spit onto,  slapped,  flogged to mention a few all for your liberty. I was called names which I bear not and was crowned with thorns only for your sake. I was compelled to carry a cross with bruised and peeled body in pains and blood all over me and was nailed to the cross, a spear was pierced through my rib cage to ascertain my death that you may liv

Dr. Thomas-Wilson Ikubese, C.E.O of Sckye Hospital speaking in a church youth program gave his prescriptions to our sick Nigeria while delivering a speech on a topic “Roles of Youths in Governance”. The Center for Economic and Human Rights Advancement (CEHRA)

HOW WE STARTED.                      The Center for Economic and Human Rights Advancement (CEHRA) was formed in June 2017, it started as a small group of persons who shared the feelings, yearnings and aspiration of Nigerians who have suffered series of rights violations across the nation, hence the decision for the formation of the platform committed to equity, justice and the rule of law. It later blossomed into a full- fledged Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) whose Membership is open to all regardless of political, ethnic, racial or religious background.                        Today, CEHRA has branches in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Kwara and Kaduna. These branches are "CEHRA Pioneer Branches" (CPB). However, effort is is currently on to have our branch in every state of the federation.                           In Lagos, we have Idimu-powerline, Ijedodo, Obadore, Ikotun, Igando, Ipaja, Morogbo, Isale-Odo, Alagbado Central, Baruwa, Agodo, Alagbado, Abaranje, Ayobo-Anis

WHAT'S IN A NAME? (ADE FAFILA)

Image
WHAT’S IN A NAME? Driving along the road on Tuesday morning, a minibus overtook my car. No big deal, no offence. I was somewhat slow, as I didn’t have a pressing need to make me hurry. But I spotted the painted crown logo and the inscription, ROLEX, on the front passenger door of the rather decrepit minibus. Hmmmmmmm, everybody loves a good name, but it is not so easy to build one, I mused. I am very sure the driver of that minibus does not own a Rolex, an authentic Rolex; and he most probably does not also know that some people had worked conscientiously, for many years, to give the Rolex brand the global acclaim. Name! Except in very rare cases, everybody wants a name to be proud of, like the Rolex brand, but very few people are willing to pay the price. Great names, good names, influential names, inconsequential names, bad names, whether we like it or not, we would end up with one – depending on our works. As it is written in the Bible, A good name is rather to be chosen

THE MISTAKE OF THE CHURCH (Adebowale Ibukun Tosin)

Evidently, several youths are tired of church. The old conservative approach void of serious bible study and training in prayer is too weak to keep them in church. While the sermon is on, many are either on twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Whatsapp, just chatting away their time. Quite interesting is how some of these young folks attend church only because their parents have made it compulsory. Left to many of them, they would easily boycott church and just have fun by hanging out with their friends or be watching movies at home. So, here's the simple logic... The church doesn't want to lose these guys. They are vibrant, youthful, energetic, and smart. As a matter of fact, it's widely believed that the future of any organisation, nation, even church depends on the youths. So, in a bid to not lose them, many churches would give them what they want. No matter what it takes! I've seen youth vigils that were nothing more than clubs in the name of praise night. All mann

REMINDING THE POLITICAL LEADERS (ADEKUNLE AYO-LAWRENCE)

Image
*THE MOMENT THE LEADERS ARE EMBODIED BY MYOPIC INSIGHT,THE FUTURE BECKONS WITH MUCH PESSIMISM FOR THEM* *It's a very short one* To begin with, it is a splendid act observing "TABLE MANNERS" not minding the sordidness of the UNHOLY TABLE to  the masses. Not minding the fact that you have once STOOD AGAINST what the UNHOLY TABLE  is dishing out to the masses. I clearly understand your plight, that from that UNHOLY TABLE you have your daily meal, you dare not talk, you dare not think in favour of the masses, you dare not portray yourselves as HUMAN ACTIVIST that you once claimed to be. I knew if you must eat from that UNHOLY TABLE compromising and keeping mute to the MASSES CRY must be your watchword. But I have a good news for you. That UNHOLY TABLE will only last for FOUR YEARS.  The meal is a poison to your soul simply because the blood that runs through your veins few years back negate and antagonized such meal. What you stood for then and later compromised
