NIGERIAN YOUTHS ARE LAZY; BUHARI PUBLICLY DECLARED

Image
*Dear Pa Buhari*, Why not come to Oshodi and see young people struggling to catch buses to their places of work as early as 4.30am. You can stroll down to Computer Village too. Ariaria (Aba Market) should also be part of your itinerary. You would have a good sight of works done by very industrious intelligent young persons. Many young women in the Country, after their legitimate work for the day, do 'extra work' at night (what you know as the service of the 'other room') so as to cater for the needs of their immediate families. A friend of mine at the University of Lagos can provide their details if you need to meet them. Ask Jobberman and other job assistance  'consultants'/ agents how many people visit their websites per hour. Your cluelessness and anti-people programmes have turned most young persons to Consultants. Make-up Consultants inclusive. We have a Country where over 3,000 youths would wake as early as 4.30 am, knot their ties and trek k

Where will I start from? Still confused about where to begin I really wish to have a better platform where all creatures will gather, so that I can tell them about a beautiful lady with a unique attitude that came to this world some decades ago. Smiles.... I remember as a child, she doesn't joke with Oluloro rice (that rice elewe is sweet o) I know her to be a strong lady with a complex mind and it takes only the mature one to comprehend her. She's very nice and also like to be in charge, I remember all the sweet our in-law brought during one of our sisters introduction was in her custody. She can pack load for Africa! Whenever she's going to school I always wonder how she manage to convey those loads to school. My first friend in the family We spend time talking and talking while growing up Keeping lots of secrets from our siblings And watching each other back I'm glad to have you as a sister And as you are plus one today, May Olodumare bless y

AAUA FEES HIKE: ANRP URGE ODSG TO BEAR THE SACRIFICE

Image
PRESS RELEASE: AAUA FEES HIKE. ONDO STATE, April 11, 2018-Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party have been carefully observing the ongoing in Ondo State. It is saddening to witness the current standoff between the brave students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) and the Governor Rotimi Akeredolu-led State Government. It is even more saddening to know that the self-acclaimed political descendants of Chief Awolowo believe education has to be expensive, if it is to work in Ondo State. Quite unfortunate that education which have been the bedrock of national development in the South West is fast becoming the exclusive preserve of the rich. Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party (ANRP) believes that the youths are the Nation’s greatest resources and any attempt to deny them of affordable education must be resisted by every peaceful means possible. However, any government that sees education as too expensive to fund must be ready to massively increase its budget for security.

AAUA-SUG RESPONSE TO THE COMMISSIONER OF INFORMATION

Image
*From The Secretariat, Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Students' Union, Room 004,( Office of the masses).* *RE: TUITION FEE HIKE, OUR STORY.* *A RESPONSE TO THE ONDO STATE GOVERNMENT COMMISSIONER OF INFORMATION* In order to save face, the commissioner of information released to the public yesterday set of "facts" about why government had to forcefully hike tuition fees in Adekunle Ajasin University, however just like all, the arguments are a mockery of intelligence, and falls face to the ground. It is a very ridiculous argument to claims because other schools were hiked, AAUA must be hiked. It beats logic, it is a fallacious argument that should never be heard from intellectuals. For every school who has been hiked, it is always a wind of oppression, some of them were allowed because Students could not organise enough to fight back. But for us, we have decided to fight back. The Government has reeled out its fact again, and one more time it falls to the

Dr. Ikubese Appeal to Ondo State government on increased tuition at AAUA

Image
AN APPEAL TO THE GOVT OF ONDO STATE ON INCREASED TUITION AT ADEKUNLE AJASIN UNIVERSITY AKUNGBA. "The current economic realities can no longer sustain the status quo". Funds for running educational institutions don't have to be generated exclusively from tuition fees. The university should be encouraged to embark radically on entrepreneurial drives and generate funds thereby, wherein tuition becomes but secondary funds. While we may need to marginally review the fees to meet increasing demands of running the institution, I do not agree with the percentage of increment; from N35,000 to N180,000 (414% increment) in a non-residential institution where off-campus accommodation sometimes costs as much as N70,000 annually.  A widow with two children (male/female) in AAUA is now required to pay N500,000 every session. Many parents/guardians in Ondo state  certainly will not be able to afford this, with dastardly consequences on the future of these students and so

The union also wants to strongly condemn the actions that saw to the destruction of the schools ICT center on the 22nd of January 2018. In view of the incidence that took place, the students have been made to stay at home for over 2months and running as this has caused lots of damages and irregularities as to the plans of the Nigerian students. Our students are tired of sitting at home without a direction and proper information as regards the way forward. We agree strongly that we must pay for the damages done without fear or favor. The union therefore calls for a quick resumption and declaration of REPARATION FEE, within the next 7days, to m

AAUA PROTEST REPORT (iyituwa news crew)

Image
Another history was written yesterday 9th April, 2018, when university students across Ondo state gathered to protest on the increment of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko school fees.  Omoluwabi Movement of Africa also joined the students in the protest. The students made a peaceful protest without destroying anything or harming anybody, they displayed a high level of responsibility. It was shocking  when the police suddenly began to fire tear gas at the students as well as the passers by, about three students were injured. At the heat of the protest,  the students showed their determination despite the oppression faced by the police by gathering themselves to continue in the spirit of togetherness. After hours of demonstration, the students matched to the governor's office led by the policemen chanting songs. As the students arrived at the governor's office, the security men doubled and they try to lure the students leaders into a secret

THE GREATEST MANTRA (ARIYO GBEMISOLA)

Image
Millons of people are in the mortuary, many are rush into the theatre rooms, many are spending money on life saving machines. I can boldly say that a lot of people are doing well and are all staying healthy. We can say that there is no one on earth without its own challenges, but everyone has a special way of dealing with issues pertaining to their life.  There are three things that can make us stay healthy, and these three things are connected to just one thing that 70% of our body is made of, that is WATER. If am to recommend anything for a depressed soul, I will recommend the WATER MANTRA, and it can only work effectively if you follow these three steps.      1) As soon as you wake up in the morning, before doing anything drink a litre of water. It doesn't matter if you don't brush your teeth, take water because it will help to dissolve the alkalinity in your mouth.                           2) Forty minutes after eating be it Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner make sure y

AAUA STUDENTS VOWS TO TAKE THE CENTRE STAGE

Image
*PRESS STATEMENT FROM ADEKUNLE AJASIN UNIVERSITY AKUNGBA STUDENTS' UNION* Aluta greetings to all Adekunle Ajasin University Students from the apex agitating body. Today makes it 80days that we have been made to sit at home since the 2016/2017 academic session ended. It is quite pathetic and sardonic that the government has been quite undisturbed by this disheartening predicament. The government has been so unperturbed by the fact that we are wallowing and wasting away at home. We have wasted a whole semester at home doing nothing. The hope of our 500L Law students going to Law School is now hanging in the wind. We are made to go through all this unpalatable rigours all because of the unfortunate indecisiveness of the government. We have been silent enough. We will not allow the administration of the government to toy with our future. We have been pushed to the wall, and it is now highly sacrosanct, germane and imperative to take our destiny into our hands. *_On th
