AAUA PROTEST REPORT (iyituwa news crew)

Another history was written yesterday 9th April, 2018, when university students across Ondo state gathered to protest on the increment of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko school fees.

Omoluwabi Movement of Africa also joined the students in the protest.

The students made a peaceful protest without destroying anything or harming anybody, they displayed a high level of responsibility.

It was shocking  when the police suddenly began to fire tear gas at the students as well as the passers by, about three students were injured.

At the heat of the protest,  the students showed their determination despite the oppression faced by the police by gathering themselves to continue in the spirit of togetherness.

After hours of demonstration, the students matched to the governor's office led by the policemen chanting songs.

As the students arrived at the governor's office, the security men doubled and they try to lure the students leaders into a secret deliberation which the entire students refused.

An heavy rain fell, even at that the students were determined and were not bothered by the rain, some minutes after the rain stopped, the deputy Governor came out to address the students and he promised that the agitation of the students will be looked into.

the school fees has been removed from the school portal.

Pls.am begging the Governor, to look into this issue, this increase in school fees is not too good in this present state of poor economy. If care is not taken ,many of our youth will not be able to go to school, registration for waec this year is poor, because some parents couldn't pay, workers were not paid the it salary. May be Government want only the rich children to go to school. They should remember, that the learned rich will not have peace if there are lots of dependable youth in the society. Am not saying they should not increase, but it should not be too much. Thanks in for the Governor favourable response to the issue. God bless Nigeria! God bless Ondo State.
