LIFE: A RACE AND A MYSTERY (AINA OMOWUMI ADENODI)

Life, a race and a mystery.

Aina Omowumi adenodi

Dost thou love life?, then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of.
In a race, time counts so much, no matter how swift you are, if you cannot beat the time, it's of no relevance. Only those who can beat the time breaks record, which is also applicable to life generally, being early in life counts and being late also has it own count.
We all are in the race, but few understands that there are prizes to be won in the race of life, your achievements, your success, your impact determines your placement and prizes in life.
The mystery of life is so much attached to age and ageing, achievement is not by age, so many things that you can do now, why not do it?, it's not a must to attain a particular age to attain exploits, so many opportunities are wasted today because of age, your age does not really matter in attaining heights in life, your size, likewise does not matter.

Be challenged and motivated, that place you are, some people have been there, now you are there, other people will also be there, but it is not everybody there that has or will make the best out of it. Sure!
Overtaking, they say is allowed, it is a normal phenomenon in life, what you don't need, someone else needs it, that thing you have and you do not value, someone else is craving to have it, what you are murmuring and complaining about, someone else is willing and clamouring to have it. You meet some at a particular point and you leave them there, or a times at your arrival, they move higher, that is life and it's mysteries.

Remembering a rainy day, standing on the corridor upstairs to see the downpour flowing through a drainage (gutter), it was really raining, the speed at which the water was flowing continually increased, at a particular spot that has an opening across the drainage, the water came along with some particles, there was a particular perfume container that flowed into the drainage first, and then the water was bubbling up but this container could not get across the drainage to the main road, other particles and containers even bigger that it dropped once and bubbled to the main road and continued their journey, keenly observing for about 10 minutes, a smaller container kept on struggling to get across, it bubbled to the main road but fell dropped back into the drainage and began to struggle all over again, it took some time to cross out again but still left the perfume container in the drainage.

The perfume container flowed under the drainage after the rain had subsided, whereas other particles went across the major road. Then, I likened the incident to the race of life, that is how it is to human being, the perfume container I believe was not convenient with it place, but still went under, after the race (rain) was almost over, others struggled to cross on the main road when the race was still hot and relevant.
But here is the irony of it all, maybe under or above, at least it left that position, so you be above or under, all that matters is how focused and determined you are.
Abraham Lincoln said this: "It is not the years in your life that count, it is the life in your years".

Above all the race of life entails you to either get busy living, or get busy dying
