Ayokunle Ajike-Adedeji To God be the Glory great things he has done. I am eternally grateul to God Almighty for His love, care and protection. Today *9th of March* marks exactly a year I was on the ballot as *Candidate of Zenith Labour Party* to the State House of Assembly, Owo Constituency I. My journey into the stream of politics which started in 2017 but was envisioned in 2011 led me to my open declaration on February 20th, 2018 after my Birthday Thanksgiving service at Cathedral Church of St Andrew Imola Owo. I was borne out of passion to salvage my great kingdom through better representation and true dividends of democracy and this trait shows forth during my campaign across the length and breadth of my constituency. My anchor is to lead as many as possible youths into governance and elective position, and this mandate will not go unfulfilled until it is actualised and properly achieved. Prior to the creation of Ekiti state in 1996, I lived in Ikere-Ekiti with my family which was comprised of my pops, mom, my elder sister(sister Tomi 🥰 ), my younger sister and our last born at the time(motun 🥰 ) and atimes one of either aunt Mariam or my uncle Ayuba. Normally I was aunt Mariam’s nemesis whenever mom wasn’t around 🤦🏽‍♂ , uncle Ayuba on the other hand was an unusually gentle and reserved creature who was never bothered by my stubbornness 🤗 . Around that period, pops worked outside town, he’d leave for his station in Orun-Ekiti on Monday morning and returned home on Friday evening. I always dreaded his return on Friday because I certainly always got flogged when he returned 🥶 . Before he leaves on Monday morning, I always got a new pencil from him, but by the time he returned on Friday, th

Normally, you won't find me anywhere near the house on a Saturday afternoon unless hunger sent me home from where I'd went to play, and soon as I got something to fill up my belly, I'm off.......till dusk when Mom would either stand on the balcony of our upstair tenement appartment and shout my name or she'd sent my Elder sister to go fetch me home(Sister Tomi always knew where to find me 🥰 ) On the very rare occasions that I'd be playing with the other kids around the house, mom had a way of

I hate Mondays..... 😠 I just hate 'em....... 😡 I hate mathematics.... 😠 (I am the only one of the Wende four kids who was really poor in maths 🤦🏽‍♂ ) First period every Monday...... 😔 mathematics 😩 ........so, I hate Mondays... 🙅🏽‍♂ I hate having beans as breakfast...... 😠 Whenever mom cooked beans for breakfast, I often skip breakfast. 🤔 🤔 .....So it happened Some time in early 2004, it was a Monday 😩 ....(Monday morning almost always made me miserable) mom cooked beans for breakfast 😔 ......my day couldn't have started more miserably..... 😔 😔 After getting dressed for school(my shirt wasn't tucked in 🙄 ) I grabbed my bag, pops was outside shaving, I bade him have a nice day and set out for school. Now, my pops been a real disciplinarian, had zero tolerance for shabby dressing 🙅🏽‍♂ . As I walked past him with my bag pack almost dragging behin
