Affable Declares Intention As He Celebrated His Birthday
The 2019 Candidate of Zenith Labour Party to the State House of Assembly, Hon. Ayokunle Adedeji popularly called Affable has declared his intention to vie for the Owo Constituency I seat of the Ondo State House of Assemby.
Affable, made his intentions known after his Birthday Thanksgiving at the Cathedral Church of St. Andrew, Imola, Owo.
The auspicious event, which was attended by friends, family, political associates, elites and other well-wishers who filled the Church auditorium to the brim on Sunday, 20th February 2022, was to enabled Hon. Ayokunle Adedeji appreciate God as he marked his birthday.
In his words, “it is worthy to appreciate God for all he has done for me. 2021 was quite challenging but I am grateful for massive turn around of greatness. I will forever give thanks to God”, the astute politician thundered as he broke into songs singing "Okan mi yin Oba Orun".
He later hosted friends, families and political associates after the Church Service, where he made his intentions known to vie for the seat of the Ondo State House of Assembly to represent the good people of Owo Constituency I and to give them better representation and deliver dividends of good governance on the great platform of People's Democratic Party (PDP).
Earlier in the Church Service, He was joined by eminent Nigerians to appreciate God for adding to his age in the land of the living. Notable persons at the event included: Chief Folahanmi Olaniyi (PDP Local Government P.R.O), Hon. Bolanle Ojo (PDP Chairman Ehin Ogbe Ward), Hon. Adene (PDP Vice Chairman Ehin Ogbe Ward). Also at the event were Chief and Chief Mrs. Rotimi Ibidapo, and Mrs. Grace Abebi Adeniseun who also held her 60th birthday Thanksgiving at the Church auditorium.
The reception took a new political turn when Hon. Adeyeri Samuel a.k.a Ashami, PDP Ehin Ogbe Youth Leader and an aspirant to the State House of Assembly, Owo Constituency I, came into the arena. Political associates were dazed to suprise when Hon. Adeyeri Samuel referred to Affable as his brother from the Arajuwa clan. He noted “We met and discussed and I agreed to be here because bloodline is bigger than any aspiration”.
While reacting, Affable said he chose to invite all contenders to the virtuous seat to show that his aspiration is not a do-or-die but to bring tranquility and fulfil high hopes within the party. Also, to ensure that with togetherness, the party could face a common enemy and triumph. He further said he purposely invited Ashami, who promised to be here and that he was so glad to have him at the event. “I will continue to strengthen my friendship with all the aspirants on the great platform of our party PDP and ensure we all succeed come 2023.” Affable later appealed to all followers and supporters of aspirants to be mindful of their actions to admit unity and togetherness under the same umbrella believing that this is the only way the Party can achieve her aim in winning the general election.
He further reiterate his vision,
“My aspiration is purposeful and it will endear more people to our great Party, as we can see here. I have a large number of Zenith Labour Party members from Idashen ward with us led by the ChairWoman, Mrs. Bosede Ajibola and they have concluded plans to join PDP with us, and very soon I shall present them to the Local Government Chairman, High Chief Idris Okeowo Olafimihan-Asaba in a special event ahead the hosting of the Local Government Central Working Committee of our great party. I am also moving round other wards to bring in more energetic youths and very soon we shall have several new members in PDP”, Affable said.
Affable was later received by Prince Rotimi Ibidapo in his resort along Ikare road. Prince Rotimi Ibidapo said Affable is one of the formidable youths in Owo that the community is proud of.
Let us all as a community allow peace to reign and ensure we unanimously select a candidate qualified to represent us in the Ondo State Hallow Chamber comes 2023. Together, we owns the community.
