It is no longer news that the youngest aspirant to the Ondo State House of Assembly in Owo emerged as candidate on the platform of the Zenith Labour Party yesterday at the party primary. Ayokunle Oluwaseun Ajike-Adedeji A.K.A Affable2019 who emerged as the youngest candidate in the ancient town was full of joy at his emergence, following full consideration and unalloyed support by party faithful.

In his words, Affable2019 noted that the affirmation of his candidature, culminating in his emergence on the platform of his great party, the Zenith Labour Party was actualisation of a vision he began running with in 2011. He stressed that he had thus been prepared to contest against other candidates, even as the youngest, in a bid to provide effective legislation for the people of his area.

Ayokunle Adedeji appreciated the party leadership, members and his esteemed supporters for believing in his candidature. he further stated that he had found joy, as well as a renewed vigour to contest, ever since he joined the party as both old and young as always shower their love on him through prayers and sincere support.

Fondly called Affable2019 by admirers and supporters, Adedeji in an ecstatic mood declared "today our party faithful have taken a bold step in ensuring our people are emancipated and that their decision will give the entire Owo Constituency I a better representation with quality dividends of democracy as against the poor and watery representation we all have been experiencing for the past 8years in the state house of assembly".

In his acceptance speech, Adedeji  stressed that considering the great niche carved for the community by its ancestral and traditional exploits, as well as the crop of people that had been paraded by the ancient town in times past, the people of the area deserve better representation than they had gotten in years past. This, he blamed on several years of negligence during voting seasons, or outright sale of mandate, which should have gone to provide effective representation.

He appreciated his family, friends, admirers and supporters, particularly his parents and siblings since he conceived this vision to contest a seat in the state house of assembly.

He called on all and sundry to galvanize support in ensuring this aspiration is fulfilled, ultimately to the betterment of the Owo people.

Ayokunle Oluwaseun Ajike-Adedeji will be the youngest candidate contesting a seat in the Ondo state House of Assembly in 2019 and he is full of hope. He believes strongly that he possesses requisite experience, quality and the required eloquence to fight the course of his people. He is the Initiator of the only youth humanitarian club in Owo, The Ebullient All Stars. The club, which plays a huge humanitarian role in Owo and its environs through care for and visits to motherless homes, prison yards and other avenues for assistance of the less privileged, will clock 10 years in December, 2018. He is also currently serving his 2nd term as the Vice Chairman of the Boys Brigade Nigeria, Owo battalion Council. This followed a keenly contested election where Adedeji emerged the youngest Vice Chairman of the organization, the largest voluntary organization in Nigeria, in 2013. He again made history in 2017 being the first to be reelected to the office since the group metamorphosed into a battalion council in 2007.

He is energetic and full of confidence in his bid to the state House of Assembly come 2019 and remains undaunted in his resolve. Adedeji believes the future is now, and urges the most relevant stakeholders, the electorates, to seize the moment.
