A home or society that is bereft of men who can function in all of these capacities is plagued for failure.

Today is Fathers' Day.

There are Three major aspects where we need to evaluate our fatherhood in our society. Our place in the Home as the teacher and chief instructor of our household, Our place in the society in administrative capacities to the highest point in governance being the presidency or king or queen or prime minister or supreme leader (depending on the system of government) and in spiritual leadership.

A home or society that is bereft of men who can function in all of these capacities is plagued for failure.

Until men rise and lead first, their homes; they can't administer properly and they can't minister properly.

A Father must be able to build his home with the requisite knowledge for godly behaviours. The Father must be the first teacher and actor of the principles of integrity, honesty, faith, love, diligence, orderliness and purpose.
He must show his family care, model sacrifice and model service.

When children pick this from home, we are guaranteed of a better future generation.
But when children are left untended to in their earliest years before a certain age which is usually between 0 - 4 years, we already have a lapse that might either need to be corrected by shouts or sticks.
And even that leaves a bad impression - fear, panic and then resolve to lying to escape pain. That's where the seed for violence is also sown; it is where he or she gets to understand that violence or harshness is one of the instruments with which to get result, especially from someone you're older than or can overpower.

When the bible says that madness rests in the heart of a child, it wasn't implying that the Child was created in madness and with madness, it simply means the parents have planted madness in the child either by their action or inaction.

Take a look at our society, are we not mad?
Where are the Fathers?

Today, we celebrate the men who have stood in the gap, whose effort have made it possible for us not to have it worse than it is. For yes, it can be worse.

We thank the fathers who have ensured that there's a remnant in the Land; who will continue to build on the foundations they have laid. "For we shall be a repairer of the breaches and the restorer of the paths to dwell in." Isaiah 58:12.

For giving us leadership
For giving us faith
For giving us hope,
For giving us many sacrifices and showing us exemplary leadership through service, we say thank you.

The word of God says "nay, they shall no more be two, but one". To the women, mothers and wives alike who stood with the Fathers to raise the glorious remnants and the hope of the future, we say this honour goes to you. It is as much yours as it's his. Happy Fathers' day to you too, all that we say here of him - your son, your father, your husband, we say of you too.

To give the atmosphere that enables him to lead and produce result is to have to been equal in stake, in effort, and in commitment. Again, for the two shall be no more twain, but One.

To all them who lost husbands and have to go it alone, but still produced men like Ben Carson and some of our fathers, you are the reason we don't believe that Fatherhood is gender specific. For the exemplary leadership you've held, lived and demonstrated in positions where you have "manned", especially in the area of raising a Seed of godliness in the Children that Lord has given you, We accord you this full honour and respect.

Happy Father's Day to you all.
